Visualise surfaces precisely
GelSight has developed a tactile technology in which a soft, highly sensitive touch sensor adapts to the shape of the object being inspected and detects its surface topography with extreme precision. GelSight Mobile™ Series 2 can measure microscopic structures that are difficult to detect using conventional inspection techniques. GelSight can also be used on any surface including metal, glass, carbon fibre or textiles regardless of reflections, transparency or lighting conditions
Fast, versatile and precise
At the touch of a button, the system takes six individual images with exposures from different perspectives in a fraction of a second and generates a 3D image of the surface. An algorithm calculates all colours and transparencies as well as reflections and glare, creating an exact three-dimensional image for measuring damage, distances or identification features. The innovative technology is extremely precise and reliable and includes fast, automatic documentation.
For use everywhere
In addition to the device, the practical transport case also has space for four round elastomer gel pads, relevant cables and a notebook for visualisation. The portable GelSight Mobile™ Series 2 system speeds up and facilitates processes that previously required microscopic examinations or complex measurements in the laboratory in some industries.
The data obtained can easily be documented or further processed in other programmes.
