Measurements in the nanometre range
The GelSight Max provides the highest resolution for mobile surface analysis and has been developed for the most demanding applications with a surface and profile roughness of 0.2 to 20 µm. The GelSight Max quickly determines the surface properties of any material at any work location, regardless of material composition, reflective behaviour, transparency or ambient light conditions.
Thanks to the new technology, incorrect measurements can be avoided, time and effort reduced and unnecessary rework, rejects or downtime minimised.

Surface inspection in seconds
Unlike manual, mechanical or optical measurement technologies, GelSight's patented elastomeric sensor technology adapts to the topography of any surface, regardless of material, reflective behaviour, transparency or lighting conditions. 2D surface details are displayed in real time, and 3D measurements and analyses of surface textures and defects in the micrometre range are calculated in seconds.

Innovative technology
A round gel pad made of elastomer with a diameter of almost two centimetres is positioned at the the camera head of the handy measuring device. It deforms when pressed and adapts to the surface of the area to be analysed. An exceptionally detailed 2D or 3D image is calculated from the positive impression. This allows even the smallest defects to be precisely mapped.
